Group stay

Group stay in Vedic Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat centre Rishikesh, India.

Dedicated to those who are looking for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being in ashram-style living.
Go deep into your healing and transformation.

The Vedic Yoga & Ayurveda Retreat Centre welcomes all visitors who come to Rishikesh either to participate in the yoga or ayurveda courses and therapies we offer, or those who have a spiritual motive to develop their inner consciousness through a self-retreat.

Our Centre is not a hotel – it is dedicated to those who are looking for their physical, mental and spiritual well-being. If you are simply in Rishikesh for site-seeing or having fun, this may not be the right place for you.

The VYC is the ideal location to host either your next yoga retreat, a Yoga Teacher Training course, or Ayurveda healing program, in Rishikesh. The spiritually energised grounds at the VYC provide the perfect environment for your guests to disconnect from their daily routine, and go deep into their healing and transformation.

Your group may choose to have three Ayurvedic meals included in their package. For a sample of the style of food we offer, follow our meals link.

Although there are two yoga halls at the Centre, the downstairs venue is permanently booked. Your visitors can join the daily drop-in classes here for the regular rates if they wish. Prices for these classes can be negotiated.

If you will be teaching the group yourself, you may rent the top hall only. This room doubles as the dining hall, so if meals are included in your package then you will need to clear this hall each time you wish to practice yoga, or undertake any other group activities.

Please note that it is NOT POSSIBLE to practice yoga on the rooftop.

Our dining room is called Annapurna Hall. All meals are purely vegetarian and are designed for your overall health. The meals are based on the ancient science of Ayurveda to ensure both health and wellness from the food, and are cooked by members of the family. Most of the ingredients for the meals, such as spices, vegetables, grains, etc., are locally sourced and pesticide-free wherever possible. All dairy products come from the Centre’s own dairy herd.

Whichever room you choose, there are many reasons to stay at the Vedic Yoga Centre. Aside from the traditional yoga and ayurveda offered here, you will have access to the following:

  1. Holy River Ganga-ji – simply walk down the driveway of our Retreat Centre, and you are only a few steps away from the holy river Ganga.  You can sit by this sacred river at any time due to its proximity to our Retreat Centre.
  2. Views of Ma Ganga – if you want picturesque views of Laxman Jhula, then simply walk to the rooftop of our building and take in the breathtaking views of Ganga-ji and the surrounding mountains.
  3. Laundry – On the way to the Ganga you will find a small laundry where you can get your clothes washed and ironed for a very reasonable price, if you do not wish to do your own laundry.
  4. Ram Jhula is only a 15-minute walk away.
  5. Vashishta Gufa – a sacred cave for those seeking deep mediation, only 25 kilometres from Rishikesh.  In this cave the great Sage Vashishta (held to be the son of Lord Brahma, and one of the Seven Great Sages), meditated.
