Kundalini kriyas influence the chakras by focusing on specific energy centres, including the perineum, reproductive area, navel centre, heart centre, throat centre, and Third Eye. Each of these centres governs different aspects of human functioning. Through a combination of movement, breath work, breath retention, sound, and focused awareness, the kriyas harmonise and balance the energy flow at each centre. This process aligns the body and mind’s energy frequencies (solar and lunar), facilitating a transition from the gross to the subtle. Kundalini kriya is not connected to any religion, but by definition, it is a spiritual practice – the kriyas are designed to foster inner stillness, self-awareness, and a connection to a deeper sense of one’s being. They help to silence the chatter of the mind, allowing students to access states of peace, clarity, and unity with the present moment.
